Love elsie update!!

Hi everyone, problems again tonight tryng to upload photos , I dont know where im going wrong, I upload them to computer from my little camera then I cant find them, but I get there in the end.
Im trying to teach myself too much all at once.
Well enough of my moaning, here are a few more pages of love elsie book im working on. The red with the KISS chipboard letters is back of book and the little love sentiment at bottom is woven label by me & my big ideas, also elsies chipboard buttons.
The other 3 pages are covered with love elsie papers and I hand stitched {yessssss!! all by hand} on of the sides of one of the pages.
My photography skills are not great yet as you
know I only have my little camera just over a week,
but I will learn as I go along.
Im getting lovely comments from you all, many thanks
and finding loads of new blogs & making lovely new friends.
So thats all from me today folks hope you like the elsie book
although its not totally finished & again its another one for
wedding photos {what am I like, lol}
I shall head off now and go for another wee browse on
blogs and shops and probably end up buying more craft stash.

7 Gypsies album

Hi everyone, what fun I had {not} trying to upload these photos. It took me over an hour to find them. Now that they are here I can tell you what they are.
When I was at crafteire, I did a class on gypsy journal {7 gypsies, love their products}. Jane
Dean, who designs for scrapbook inspirations did this class, she is a lovely lady. So the front and
back are copied from Janes own sample and the rest is my own twist on it.

This journal is for {guess what} yes you got it!! My Honeymoon! For all the little tickets and
receipts and little keepsakes you pick up while travelling. You never know there could even
be an autograph if I bump into any celebreties {lol} Now that would be a laugh if we really did.

So when I come back I can show you it filled, with photos and keepsakes and memories.
Im gonna have loads of updates for you all to see, hope you wont all get bored looking at all my photos.

Im just loving all this blogging, it keeps me really busy and all the lovely comments that
are left to me everyday is fantastic!! love to read them all and they make me very happy.

Thats all for today, back tomorrow.....

Happy scrapping xx

Its great to smile, wouldn't you all agree? This is a pretty straightforward
layout of Craig, {my big honey}, my mum's aunt, {who is coming 87,
and wouldn't miss shopping in town on a saturday for all the tea in china} and myself.
Bazzil cardstock {what would we do without it ladies?}
and patterned paper from sassafrass, rub-on by mini marks {american crafts}
Heidi Swapp chipboard heart, mini file for journalling {sizzix} used through
my cuttlebug {exellent little machine},smile sticky ribbon tabs
{just love these} by scrapworks, the rest are just from
my little embellishment stash {oh and if you take a closer look a little love elsie chipboard button on the file} and from the heart sentiment is by Melissa Frances.
I think I have just about covered everything!! phew!! glad I am typing this or Iwould be out of breathe by now {lol}
Thanks everyone for all your lovely comments you have been leaving me,they have certainly brought a SMILE to my face.
And thank you to Kimberly and Wati for adding me to their fave links {overwhelmed} check out their sites, they are great!!

Lilybean's Paperie competition

Hi everyone, here is my entry for Melissa Phillips card competition, over at Lilybean's Paperie. I thought I would just go for it , so here's what I came up with.
There are 5 basic rules for the card:

polka dots
a heart

My supplies used were: Heidi Swapp chipboards
heart & flower, offray polka dot ribbon & Heidi Swapp, always ribbon {made a little tab with it beside the friend sentiment} teeny weeny red buttons down side of card {Melissa, I hope you can see these, lol} also the large polka dot paper is by urban lily {urban girl collection, Hilary} and I think I have included everything. I love Melissa's work and I check it out regularly.
Im sure you have noticed I have a lovey new blog header {Shabbyshoppe} and the ever so talented Kirsty Wiseman installed it for me, so a MASSIVE BIG THANK YOU TO YOU KIRSTY!!!!!! YOU ARE A GEM!!!!
I shall head off for now as I have loads to do today and have a big night tomorrow night as I am getting baptised, I am so excited about this {also bit nervous}. I have been a christian for over six years and have been very blessed by the Lord so much in my life.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend xx

Little heart chipboard book

Hi all, a little chipboard album I bought at a little shop at crafteire,
it was an excellent wee shop, the girl had loads of different shaped ones.
I used SEI twitterpated paper to cover, Heidi Swapp chipboard shapes
at front and felt shaped embellishments at back, a Karen Foster book
ring and some polka dot sheer ribbons. I must say I really enjoy making
and decorating mini books and journals, they are so easy and make lovely
gifts for family and friends.

Happy scrapping!! x

My pink bag......

Hi all, here's one of my favourite craft products I own. Its my pink ( no! you never would have noticed ) Making Memories bag!
Craig bought it for me for my birthday last year and I just love it. It goes to all my crops and classes and has even been to crafteire, and thats when I realised oops! I need the runway storage one too!! So I have spoken very nicely to Craig, so that could be a little pressie for my trip next year to crafteire. (lol)
Got my digital camera today : ) and im having fun learning how to use it, so it will be interesting to see how my skills develop over the next lot of months.

Enjoy your day xx

Here's Benji........

Hi everyone.........well here is Benji, he is just adorable!!!
I cut a little doggy house to match the background paper, so I could do my journalling on. The beautiful epoxy stickers were a pressie from my friend , who brought them back from her holiday in Nashville last year.
I am getting my own little digital camera this week and I cant wait, craigs camera is too complicated for me, and I dont even know were the on/off button is (lol).
Check out my pink clock , isn't it cool. You will notice as you get to know me that pink is my favourite colour and always has been since I was a litttle girl. When I was a teenager, I had pink Doc Martin boots and I wish I still had them, as A layout would have been great fun to do with them. I thought I was sooooo cool, even cooler than my pink clock!!

Back soon x

Little sweetheart book

Hi all, finally I get to add colour to my blog! Managed to get Craig to take a few pics of my work. It a little mini flip album that I went to at my local craftshop (forget me not crafts). It takes around 12 sheets of 12x12 paper, around 8 of them bazzil cardstock, and the cute heart paper is twitterpated by SEI, just adore this paper. Then I customized it by adding twitterpated cardstock stickers and tabs. I will publish this again in about 6 months time with my honeymoon photos, so watch this space!!!

Also waiting on a few goodies arriving in the post one being Autumn leaves foof a life book, supposed to be excellent! im so excited about getting it as all the designers are very talented (my favourite Rhonna Farrer). So I will in the near future show a few sneak peaks from the book and challenge myself to a l.o.

My first day

Hi all scrappers and card makers! Well this is my first post and its gonna take me a little
while to get into the swing of it, so please bear with me.
My name is Marlou and I have been card making for quite a few years now and scrapbooking
about 9 months and its just a wonderful pastime.
I attended crafteire (Offaly) April past for a wonderful weekend of scrappping and card
making and of course a bit of retail therapy shoppping for goodies in the shops they had there,
crafteire to mention one which is online (hop over to it and have a browse around) they have a forum too.
It was lovely to meet other crafters who thought the same way and you know that, in fact yes
after all im not going mad I am normal!!!!!
Well I will sign off for now, cause I have a lot to learn about all this blogging stuff and I need to
find out how to get pics posted of some of my work and other things in my life that I love, like
my fiancee, soon to be hubby in December and doggy Benji!!! who you probably will see quite
a bit of cause he is so adorable.

Take care back soon X
